Lisa Goodstein – L. AC., DOM, LMT
Lisa is a Licensed Acupuncturist in California and a Licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine from New Mexico. She holds a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe. Lisa has also been a practicing licensed massage therapist since 1993.
Lisa has mentored with indiginous healers from various backgrounds and this energy medicine is the foundation of her work. Her treatments incorporate bodywork, intuition, meditation, aromatherapy and Oriental Medicine. Diagnosis is from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective.
Adult & Geriatric Medicine: In Chinese Medicine, aging is the natural decline of ‘original essence’ and metabolic changes are the result. These often start to become noticeable (and bothersome) for women in their 40’s and men in their 50’s.
Addiction Withdrawal: Needles are inserted into the ear to decrease cravings, calm the mind/spirit, improve organ function and benefit overall health. Substances treated include alcohol, sugar, food, nicotine and pharmaceuticals.
Trauma Recovery: including PTSD, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, stress, and other symptoms which may accompany survivors of abuse.
Pain & Physical Rehabilitation: acupuncture, alone, or with other forms of treatment will increase circulation and improve healing time of injuries, surgeries, strokes, arthritis, and other chronic or acute painful conditions.
Lisa’s initial training in bodywork and massage was at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe. This 1000 hour program included studies in Swedish massage, Polarity, Feldenkreiss and Ortho-Bionomy. In the past 20+ years she has continued to train with masters in the fields of aromatherapy, sports massage & Ortho-Bionomy. Her Asian bodywork includes techniques from Amma, Shiatsu & Tuina. Lisa’s sessions integrate knowledge from all her various studies.
