You might be asking what is a “community acupuncture clinic’ and how is it different from any other treatment we offer? It is acupuncture in a group setting instead of private rooms. During your initial visit you have a 1 page form to answer, as opposed to the 3 pages of questions which we ask for our other treatments. In this setting we only treat pain, stress and addictions. You will be in a room with other patients in comfortable recliners. You will probably be asked to remove your shoes and socks, but otherwise remain dressed. Acupuncture (needle insertion) and ear seeds are the only therapies in this clinic. If you have a complex condition/situation it could be more beneficial to see us for a private session. If you are unsure if this type of clinic would be right for you, please call and we will be happy to help you determine which treatments best suit your needs.
We started this Community Clinic to make acupuncture accessible and affordable to all members of our community. It can be a wonderful introduction to Chinese Medicine if you have not experienced it and are curious. If you have an acute condition, such as a strained muscle, several treatments in a short time span will reduce your recovery time. If you want help in quitting or reducing cravings for your ‘drug of choice’; alcohol, smoking, sugar, gambling, or other self destructive behavior we can help you with it. This clinic can also be a nurturing break from a stress-filled day or week; our treatments calm your mind and settle your spirit. Each session is about 45-60 minutes. The cost is $30.00 and can be paid in cash or check. To keep prices low we are not accepting credit or debit cards nor are we doing any insurance billing for these clinics.
Our Community Clinic is currently open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4 – 6 pm, last appointment is at 6pm. We are also open Saturdays from 12 noon to 2pm, last appointment is at 2. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended.
